Hello. My name is Katherine Delorme. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Digital Media - Web Design from the University of Central Florida, with six years of experience in the field. I design, code, and build websites. More specifically, I'm a UI/UX Developer with a frontend design background. I started out on the backend, but I have gone over to the dark side, or should I say front side. The more interested I became in the user's experience, the more I was drawn to UI and UX.
Companies and organizations I have done website redesigns for include Digital Risk and my own alma mater, the University of Central Florida. I've also been contracted by design agencies such as Knight Agency, Findsome & Winmore, and VCreative for projects. I have even worked abroad as a web designer for a company in Japan. My skills include layout wireframes, design mockups and code fresh for new sites. Furthermore, I spend time on UI/UX research, and I enjoy being active in the design community.
When I am off the clock, I dedicate part of my day to honing my craft and collaborating with creatives across the globe. This includes taking part in several meetup groups related to design and code in Orlando. I also enjoy volunteering my time to help build up the next generation of female developers.
I can't help but be social and I love learning from those around me.
